I have an unmarked 6 cup aluminum coffee pot probably from the 1950s.
What is this type of coffee pot called so I can research for it? I do not see
the need for dimensions based on the request that I have made at this time.
Thank you for your assistance in this request. Rob

Guess you could also say stove top percolator

Wouldn't this be a drip style rather than percolator? I think the percolator concept would have the basket with a hole in the base and the tube that draws the hot water up to percolate over the coffee grounds.
With this style, I think the coffee grounds are placed in the smaller basket and hot water poured through, seeping into the second basket, where the smaller holes there filter out any grounds that may have escaped the first basket.

I think the same as you Sandra. I use a perculator still to this day......

There doesn't seem to be a tube for the water to "perc" through. I'm going with drip too.

Yes, I think so, too. Maybe a Drip-o-lator?

    Yep, I missed that.
Probably because I use a stove top percolator when we go camping.

Is this considered to be a drip coffee pot or a drip coffee maker? Thank you. Rob

What is the difference between a drip and a drip-o-lator? Thank you for the confirmation and the possibility. Rob

Maker, although when the dripping is done and the coffee is all in the bottom part, you can remove the "drip part" from above, leaving the "pot part" which you can then cover with the lid.

It's a drip coffee maker ...I have 4 of different sizes. Mirro & Wear-ever are 2 manufacturers that come to mind, and there is a Stainless by Revere ware , drip-o-matic, and another one I have but cannot remember as it is big and i don't use it . They make great coffee and no filter, I find I don't use my percolators much and the drip or my stainless espresso are my morning go too's for my 2 cups of coffee.
