I came across a tiny antique shop on my trip to Malton this morning. In the window were two vases. £38. Ooh bargain I thought then came the sucker punch. They are both chipped. I love them and still think that there is value in them though, so I bought them.

I have found a couple of matches online. One claims that they are Staffordshire. The other sarreguemines. I'll go with the latter as that example actually has a mark to substantiate the claim.

These are gorgeous. The chips don't deter from their beauty. Sometimes, I don't care that pottery is chipped if I love the piece as a whole.

Thanks. I didn't actually see the chips when they were on display but they were at head height. I need some high shelves in my lounge football the broken things I keep buying.
