    hello,

I wonder if someone might be able to help me. I was given two beautiful vases from my dad which were his Grannies but we don't really know any information about them. Would love to know where they come from and how old they might be.

I think they might be Japense but I'm not 100% sure. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have added pictures to the gallery called vases. Any help would be lovely

    Thank you, Kirsty

Welcome, Kirsty. You should embed your Gallery pictures into a reply in this thread. You can do that by using the little "camera" icon in the reply toolbar.

Your vases are Japanese, and would be described as Satsuma style. I was not able to find the mark in a standard reference site, http://www.gotheborg.com/marks/satsuma.shtml. But the particular style of decoration may be about 1920-1930s.
