Unknown Slant Top Desk?

    44082217-775F-4070-BE10-121D63A51B1D.jpeg My parents got this from my Grandmother years ago. Getting ready to sell. Not sure what to put it up for. Haven’t seen anything like it.

    I'd say the most unusual thing about it is the mirror! It looks like it was put together from pieces of a much larger item - like a bureau or a sideboard.

    Can we see it open?

    Serpentine front bureau on stand, Louis XV revival, good condition (apparently). That's how I'd catalog it. Not worth thousands, I'm afraid. Some of the local folks will help with price.

    at auction our estimate would be $150 - $250 with starting bid of $75. We might get lucky and get one bid. 20th century brown furniture is very soft unless it has a modern or MCM look to it. This piece would likely get painted. Would be cute for a small area of child's room.

    Yeah, this is the kind of piece one encounters in every antique mall in America and I am guessing most have been sitting there for decades.
    If I was offered $75. I'd take it & run!
