Well, I think troquet is French for bar. Any chance it's a painting of a bar?

the painting is in the style of saint jerome, it shows a bare chest eastern man with a cap on itś head reading a document. and it is over 100 years old. Was found in the Netherlands. The foto i have posted is of saint jerome but it is similair in style of the panting in question here.

Ribera's Saint Jerome is a Baroque era painting using a chiaroscuro style. Are you showing us two photographs, one that appears on the front of the painting as a signature? And the other than appears on the back?
