unknown brass ornaments

    I don't know where to start to try and describe these, but they look like they might be African in a style simila $_57 - 2021-07-27T115437.883.jpg $_57 - 2021-07-27T115415.493.jpg $_57 - 2021-07-27T115401.168.jpg $_57 - 2021-07-27T115353.229.jpg $_57 - 2021-07-27T115338.083.jpg r to manila slave bangles. Does anyone know what they could be?

    They were originally beautiful Indian ankle bracelets, but they were made into dishes or ashtrays.
    They are still pretty, but I would try to have those metal plates removed. That is just a personal thing though.

    Just wondering what the heck one could do with them, at only 5" in length!!! BUT, they are attractive!!!!:happy::happy:

    Funny how so many of these kind of things end up repurposed, i'd agree with any jewellery and say that they'd have more value as ankle bracelets, maybe they are meant to be low status symbol of being a slave or something along those lines
