Unknown 19th Century English Paintings

Hello!
My wife and I received these from her dad after his passing. The only clue we have to their origin is a note on the back that they are English and well over 100 years old. There is also what appears to be a JB in the bottom corner.

they are oil on wood panel with nails holding the backer.

any suggestions on who the painter is?

Hi, Todd! I've taken the liberty of reposting your photographs as Full Image (instead of Thumbnail) so they're easier for everyone to see. Unfortunately, "woodlands in autumn" is a very common subject. And yours may be the work of a gift amateur and not a fully-trained artist. It would be helpful if you posted a close-up photograph of the artist's monogram as well as a close-up photograph of the figures on the path.

A gypsy woman and her caravan. Given the narrowness of her costume, she's either meant to evoke the Regency period or 1870 onward. (Given the modernity of the execution and the artist's monogram, I would think the latter.)
