Unknow signed Soft pastel/chalk/crayon picture - Anybody recognise artist ?

    I bought this rather large picture about 10 years ago - I believe that it either soft pastel, chalk or crayon. There is a signature at the bottom right of the picture which somebody may recognise ?.

    It looks possibly biblical ?

    On the back of the frame there is a picture framers label that has the name Antoon Gitsel LOMSTR 28 Venlo which is in the Netherlands - which I would date to the 1920/30's

    Any thoughts on the subject and/or possible artist would be appreciated.
