UK Militaria help needed - found a hockey medal from 1922

    Field Hockey, I'd bet, or they'd have specified at that point.

    I need to get pictures; it showed up this weekend in a pile of "junk" in a jewelry/antique store. Sergt (Sergeant) W.J. Oxenham No. 5172324. The other side is engraved with A.S.C.B. - Hockey 1922 - Northern Command .

    It's not American for sure. The service number makes me wonder if this gent wasn't a WWI veteran who stayed in. The medal looks and feels like bronze.

    If this were American I'd know where to ask about service records, but Northern Command here only dates back to about 2002 and now includes NORAD.

    That's the one. I knew it was UK almost for certain - "Sergeant" gave that away. Davey's link is to a museum and all they sell are images. So...not a clue if this worth more than sentimental value, but even if so it's still cool. My cousin would love it.
