    Hello All,

    Just had a quick question,

What type of hat is this gentleman wearing?

I don't want to call it the wrong name haha :)

    Thanks in advance!

Seriously, you are all so amazing! I appreciate your help more than you will ever know!

    Warm Regards,

    BWAHAHAHA!!
Interestingly enough, I was thinking along the same lines, and it appears that there was a style called a "gambler" that looks a lot like this.
There was also the "John Bull top hat" that sort of looks like it as well.

:) Glad you liked that! I wrote that additional post while you were writing yours. :)
Yes, I've seen a similar and, maybe, shorter one termed 'soft gambler' but figured that was some newer haberdasher's term.>>>

John Bull was even made in straw 1800 - 1870's.

No idea on the hat but I am pretty sure I would not have played poker with him !
