Two Watercolours with Hard to read Signature

Hi everyone, I have this watercolour that I can't read the signatures on. I have taken the best photos I can of the name. Can anybody help me work out what the name is?

I've tried to give it a lot of different filters in effort to piece it together too.

Two watercolours? Your post only includes one. Is their another?

I only took the clearest blue color I saw and inverted it to see if it would help...not by much it didn't....two letters in the middle of the last name couldn't help with AT ALL....and the very last letter could be 'f' or 'p'.........

F. Met--rf? Not Metcalf, but something like it?

 

Yeah, that's where I ended up. Not Metcalf but something like.

Two letters away! The inversion helped alot. The middle letters are a nightmare.

I got some much clearer images too

I think the 3rd letter could be an R with the background making it look like a T. It is identically written as the second from the last letter which is presumably a R

There are two paintings. I originally removed the second from my post because I couldnt get a photo that was in any way decent. But today somehow I took these of my other painting that a marginally better.

I'm in no way certain but they could different artist even if they are from the same Birmingham framers.
