Iknow I cannot ask for more than your oppinion on this, but I would like to hear your critique on these portraits done by Petrovich O..
They are oil on canvas 24x36cm stretched on hard cardboard.
    They have some age.

They're appealing... the artist seems to have a recognizable style. I can't go much further than that without knowing what the people actually look(ed) like. For me, a portrait, whether a few lines and strokes, or detailed and intricate, needs to grab the essence of a person.

I like them, especially that they are happy. :)

    Thanks Gila,

They remind me of 60's characters from american commercials all happy and glistening. The yellow seems to dominate the colour spectrum...

Id say they were more 80s , they look like regular folks to me . Probably not worth much to anyone but those who knew them . Considering the history of that country in recent times , it may be hard to find someone who did . :(

Her haircut says 60s but on the value I agree

Competently done if not terribly accomplished. Looks like the artist spent more time on the faces than the rest. Would make sense if trying to economize time for a reasonable price. The yellow overall tone may be due to yellowing varnish.

I thought street art first, but the quality of canvas and work in general doesnt say that

    I think probably commissioned.

Most likely, since it was obviously framed. I like the faces though...
