Featured Two large prints

I know very little about prints but bought these for £4 each from a charity shop.
Frame size is 24 inches x36 inches. The frames are in poor condition with lots of bits missing and someone’s been at them with the gold spray paint!
The frames look 19th century to me from the style and picture rings on the back but would the prints be that old? I took one out of the frame to show the card it’s stuck on to. No signatures I can see. Any thoughts please? Thanks.

 

I'll assume these are very,very fine stone lithographs-because if they were to be original watercolors,4 Lbs each would be a stupendous buy (as in make me literally melt with envy !!!).
Can you get an even higher magnification on these ? Watercolors can get pigment granulation that somewhat resemble stone litho.Also look for a watermark on the paper.

Im afraid this is the best my iPad can do. They do look very much like watercolours but the paper stock is too thin for watercolour so they must be prints. The print is glued down so I can’t see any watermarks. The card is badly foxed on the back.

 

Prob well-done Chromolithography. Miranda should drop by and give her opinion.

 

I couldn’t leave them in the shop for £4 each. Lots of work to do to repair the frames

 

Sounds like some of the chazzas over there are run by well-meaning morons (God bless 'em) !). Send some of those Oxfam pricers over to the States !
