Featured Two large plates

  1. Good morning everyone.
I've got these paltes from my mother in law who passed away few years back and "refound" them on my attick. I don't know anything about them and there's no one to ask. So: any suggestions? They're both cracked and poorly repaired, so I suppose they're worthless?

    How large are these plates?

Are the things in the last photo plate hangers?

A similar pattern called Pompeia was produced by Petrus Regout of Maastricht. I don't know if yours was made before that or after, but I do think they are European. It might be a place to start. Most likely the damage will kill most of the value, but they are very pretty.

Might be Delft. A company I see online as TGG Co. produced plates with a similar rim treatment. Just another avenue to search.
