I have an older brooch that swivels to allow a different picture to be viewed.
One side has a faded tintype. I've tried to finagle the image in light room, and I got one to look like a man, another a woman
    The other is a CDV(?).
The glass was broken when I bought it, but its beveled.

The other piece is a small locket with two tintype images and a blue glass bead.

I'm not sure what metal they are made of.

What era are these pieces from?
What sort of value should I put on these pieces?

Photos are late 19th. I'd think the lockets match that date.

When the pin stem is opened all the way, does the central part of the brooch swivel? When the man is right way up, the brooch is upside down. Can't see the little loop well. Is it meant to act as a bail? Or an attachment point for a guard chain? Pretty piece that has been through some hard times.

The man is not, but bears a resemblance to U. S. Grant.

It sits on a north/south axis and swivels east to west/left to right, it has a bail right above the man's head.

Compartment with beveled, now broken, glass may have held a woven hair memento. This sort of thing:

Brooch back is any time after about 1838 - I'd think late 19th from the style. And agree on memento.
