Turquoise and silver NA belt buckle stamped JR

    Worth having the stones repaired?

    no...the stones look nice...but other than the green one, they're not all that good !
    & the design is just average & hurt by that cast eagle thrown in for what comes off as a tourist look.

    even this simple vintage one has better work on it......and better stones !

    It is by Juan Pedro (sometimes John Paul) Garcia, Santo Domingo Pueblo.
    Garcia began in 1978 and works mostly in the style you have, turquoise and coral nuggets and leaves.
    I would find a replacement for the stone top right, but that's just me. Find the right size and colour for the right price and put it in yourself, no hassle.

    The broken stone is free form cut,would have more luck finding a hundred dollar bill on a busy sidewalk than finding a stone to fit the bezel.

    You can adjust the bezel, it is a thin strip of silver. Just pinch it, that's what NA jewellery makers used to do in the period this was made. In those days they were not squeamish about a few adjustments when it came to free form stones in bezels. Push it out, pinch it in, I've seen them do it.

    I guess I'll try my hand at turquoise repair.
