Can anyone tell me anything about this piece? The last picture is an article about the man who supposedly made it from 1990. The overall length of the barrel including the knob on back is 11 3/8”, the opening is 13/16”, and the wood wedge in the back slides in and out (I guess to aim)

It is a “shop-made cannon.” The barrel looks like brass. It is medium-quality. Trunnions are not joined neatly to the barrel, cascabel is made of a different material and screwed onto the breech. At auction it might sell in the $50-$300, range.
