Trying to find out about a bed frame...

    Hi,

    I have a bed frame I'm looking to sell and was wondering if i could get some information regarding it and a potential price point. Images are attached.

    I know it is victorian, but that is about it...

    I'd say your bed dated from around 1880 - 1890.
    Where are you located?

    Probably a lovely steel frame under all that paint ! With the brass knobs and inserts,it would look fantastic if it was stripped. Those go for very little here in n.fla,$100-200 range and they don't seem to move very fast. And I agree with Mansons!

    I suspect the location is rural mid-Wales. Because everyone not called Davies is called Evans. And it looks like it.

    Looks a lot like Northern California
    Those beds sell fairly well here but lower than they used to go for. Around 200.

    Are you really only 16?
    How did you acquire the bed?

    Lovely bed! It looks a bit too distressed even for the Flaky, Chippy Crowd, but perhaps that's just the photo. Me for white paint, and pale blue and white linens!

    Find a nice Papa who wants to buy it for his daughter's 16th birthday. :)

    Near enough for me. It's got Wales in it anyway.
    But who knows what the Australian market is like for this sort of thing.
