I'm in the process of trying to figure out these brass pieces, I've been told they were used for opium...but not really sure. Any thoughts would be appreciated - thanks.

I don't see an opium connection, but for opium use I'm always thinking Chinese....still Piece 2 in nice.

    Welcome to the forum!

I haven't any help on determining the purpose of these brass items, but possibly a little help on area of origin. The 3rd picture, "Piece 02...", a covered bowl, has a swastika design circling around the bowl. The swastika has been used by cultures around the world including Native Americans. It was usually a symbol of good luck until the Nazis corrupted it's usage. This swastika design is probably the Sanskrit svastika meaning "all is well" - good fortune, luck and well-being. Also it could be the "Chinese character: 卐 or 卍." The swastika is a "sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism."
