Trying to figure rough date on this?

    If you're talking about the one INH reposted, it's a Minerva-head as she suggested - look for another mark with one of the date letters shown on the Dutch marks link and that will give you the year...

    My eyes must be very tired!! All I can see, is a distinct cat head....with a definite "A"!!!
    EDIT: ROTATED.....better NOW, @i need help???

    The only other obvious marks I see are in OP photo #1. But could be something there?

    I see clearly a right walking lion with a number underneath from 1814 - 1953. if nr 1; sterling silver if nr 2: 2nd grade Silver
    the other marks is not clear enough

    Laura posted this box before, and I think I spotted a 2 then. 2nd fineness is .833. 1st fineness, .934, would have a lion rampant.
    It is, an A for the 1st office of Amsterdam.
    Amsterdam had two assay offices, the second one had this mark: .A. , only with bigger dots.
