4A32D4A2-41AF-4AF4-A023-CF171916D9C6.jpeg I gave $20 for the red one at a garage sale, and I think I spent $10 on the green one at Goodwill.

I don’t know anything about them, other than the fact that they are cool looking.

If anyone knows more, I am interested to learn! 4C4574F2-0368-4017-B39A-E1A8BF6EA1C3.jpeg

For some reason I was having trouble uploading more than two photos at a time. Sorry for the inconvenience! I think I figured it out now.
The green one seems to be in a little worse shape on the inside, but they are very similar to each other considering I found them at very different places a few years apart. 83CA5E43-15DA-479B-89CE-728137D50CF7.jpeg C94CFE20-6ACF-48CF-9DE3-634B72BD54B6.jpeg 06BEF348-4F0B-48E5-9032-B4C233BD7DAE.jpeg DD128C37-B3EA-4ACF-BD83-1E6E45D00DF8.jpeg 9EA970F4-27AD-4C6C-86C0-2E7EA120C560.jpeg

Very cool looking! Luckily for you, the locks on both trunks are from well known manufacturers, so it might be possible to narrow down the dates for them. It is unlikely that you will be able to find the exact date of manufacture, but you might be able to find the ten year period. I would guess from the locks after 1900, but I am *not* an expert!

This site is full of information that might help: https://hmsantiquetrunks.com/index.html

And there’s a huge amount of trunks you could compare yours to here:

Whenever they’re from, congratulations- it’s always fun to find something both cool and useful :)

Thank you! yep I am attracted to old trunks. It’s a good thing they take up too much space, or I’d probably just be compulsively buying every cool trunk I see. Kind of like soft blankets. I buy them too much!

Good price . I had some and sold them locally on craigslist for around $50 to a photographer to use as props.

Think your first one is early 20th century. Second one is later, circa 1940.
