Treasure Chest

Hey all! Looking to see if anybody has any guesses on the age and potential value of this chest. It was my husband’s late grandmothers. The newspaper in the bottom is dated January 1932, so I assume it’s older than that.

The handles and inside latch are leather. It’s definitely been well-loved and used. Just curious if anybody has more info. I’m quite the newbie with this stuff! Thanks!

 

As we all were at one point!! So, not to worry!! Looking it up on the internet indicates:

Patent rights can be bought or assigned, and patent law protects an inventor’s unique product or procedure from being used without their permission."
That newspaper says 1938, so that's a good point!! Condition from what's visible looks pretty decent! Depends what you want to do with it!! You can search eBay, but mark off "SOLD ITEMS" for a truer price if that's what you're looking for.....Others should be along to add some information as well.
