Translation needed on Chinese brass charger please

    It's very poorly formed, but looks like the mark for the Emperor Xuande (15thC)

    Yep, the usual with such things. They don't often pick them from that long ago though.

    I suspect the charger itself is 1920s or 30s from the making and heft of it, as well as the China style. What do you reckon?

    Yes, it does look very much like the early 20th C versions of this style. The later ones are tinnier and the engraving doesn't have the same artistry.

    Looks like it was chased and not engraved.
