Translate Arabic word pls

I need help translating one phrase or word on a 1915-dated trench art shell.

It looks like a stylised Koranic text. These are usually very difficult to read for your average Arabic reader.
You could ask at a mosque, where they are more used to script stylisations.

Very nice, spring. Those intertwined letters are a feature of stylised Arabic script.

 

I don't read Arabic at all, darnitt. Probably a quote from the Kuran, as others said.

Unless it says "PUT THIS END IN FIRST" or some such.

 

Ok I called the mosque where the Imam had translated my “story of Joseph” tray a few years back. The man who answered the phone remembered me, the tray, etc, which I found surprising, but then how often does a very large non-mideastern man with a very large brass tray walk into their mosque?
