    I recently inherited several collections (vintage costume jewelry, miniature perfume bottles, and Matchbox cars) and items (furniture, novelty lamps, Persian rugs, etc.) that I have wanted to find out more about. Once I know what I really have I may possibly sell some of them. I am a writer so I like doing research, but frankly it's overwhelming, so I'm really glad to find a place where I can pick smart people's brains!
    My first question is what is the best way/format to post a picture? I tried to post a jpeg but it said it was too large.

    If you are using a Digital Camera to take pics then download to your computer picture program - check your camera settings "Picture Quality" - if it is set for BEST or HIGH quality then change it to BETTER or MEDIUM or even GOOD or LOW quality. That was my problem at first - very frustrating untill you figure out the problem

    So do you have Microsoft Office 2010? That's what I use to edit photos - including resizing.
