Told that these were cloisonne 1920's ginger jars

    Again, no markings but very sturdy with seperate wooden base. How can we confirm that they are indeed what they said they were? There are 2 of them by the way. 20170514_121622.jpg

    They could very well be 1920s. Certainly first half of the 20th century. These are generally not marked, and if they are it is usually a fake Qianlong (C18th) mark.
    They are beautiful, the colours are very attractive, but the damage is a problem.

    I think that you are thinking that the inside of the lid is chipped? That's where i assume that the post on top is mounted.

    You're not supposed to see that on the inside, it is supposed to be blue as well.
    There are also some imperfections on the bottom. Those are things you don't mind when they are at home, you don't see it anyway. But if you want to sell, or for insurance purposes, it lowers the value. But there is still some value, don't worry.
