Picked up a couple of silver items at the garage sales today. Have a question for the silver brains here, The marks on the large sugar shaker (?) I think are for Birmingham and 1908. The heart shaped mark I've found 2 possibility's 1 being Harold Vyvyan pithey & co and the other being Williams Birmingham ltd. The marks on the base portion are very worn but the marks on the lid are pretty good (that's where I got the date from) Any additional info on this would be welcome.
The earrings happened to catch my eye and was wondering if anyone knows the maker, I make out THA? G BARSE but might be way off :joyful:. They look like turquoise and are marked 925. Again any info would be most appreciated. BTW these were 1 dollar each. I sort of figured that the earrings weren't much but for a buck along with the silver shaker @ 124 grams also a buck I couldn't go wrong. I'm glad someone has better eyes than I have :inpain: here is the shaker after a bit of a polish, BTW its about 7 inches high by 2 1/2 inches across.

Like you I'm not at all sure who the maker is. If I had to guess between the 2 you came up with, I would choose Williams Birmingham, Ltd. I thinkkkk I may see a "B" in the top right of the heart. Mind you I think! I have tried editing the pic hoping to see it better with no luck. I am including a few of the edited versions.

Curiosity is my downfall, I enjoy the research almost as much as the finding  but yes when it comes right down to it, it's a dollar well spent with another piece added to my hoard!!! Thanks for your info Susan.

Same here. I recently bought a silver-colored candy dish so I could research the marks! It's probably Belgian plate. DSCF5450.JPG
