    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to show you my newest addition to the hoard: a teeny tiny/super kleine saphiret brooch.
It arrived today and although it is very tiny and a bit mingled, I m still very happy with it.
I wasn't sure it would indeed be saphiret, (it was just sold as being an old brooch and the pictures were bad) but now that its here its clear.
Its do difficult to make pictures of the colour change though.
The blue hue looks out of this world from certain angles.
You can see my small but growing collection of saphiret brooches in the pictures.
I would love to one day find something else than brooches for next to nothing. Maybe a bracelet, or a cross (like some members here did)...
A girl can keep on dreaming, right?

Good catch! I'm sure you will find another bigger piece:)

My only saphiret piece... A tiny stick pin, of course, a Bzz Bzz;)

    Thank you Any Jewelry.
Yes, if one has enough patience and some luck, one can find almost everything.
Kyratango, did you see the good old cross I sneaked into this post? :D
Its one for on the wall, so it doesn't fit your ongoing thread.:cat:
-Damn, I forgot to include some Dutch words in this thread this time...might change something...-;)

    Hard to miss.:playful:
It's kyra's thread, but since you're good at sneaking it in, maybe sneak it into her thread?:angelic: Of course I will deny ever suggesting such a heinous crime.:bag:
I was going to use a Dutch phrase in my last post, but decided not to.
Oh well, here it is, regarding ever finding a saphiret bracelet or cross: je hebt tijd van leven.;) @Ownedbybear !:singing:

Nooit te oud om te leren :hilarious:
Kyra, I will put my cross in your thread tomorrow, when there is a bit more light.
I m so tired of Winter!
I might add some of my Flemish crosses to spice things up;)

    @Any Jewelry

I speak a bit of Dutch from living in Leiden from 1986-1988, but my limited Dutch is.... R-U-S-T-Y....!!!

The last phrase you posted in a different thread, "Sommige dingen kan je niet te veel zeggen." I'm saying THAT every chance I get with DH, who was also in Leiden with me. It's a nice phrase.

But I'm drawing a bit of a blank with "je hebt tijd van leven". I can direct translate, but does it mean sort of "have the time of your life??"

When I find my NEXT saphiret I'm gonna say it!

My mother said that a lot.;)
It means 'you'll live long enough to....' In this case Dessert will live long enough to come across a saphiret bracelet and cross in her lifetime.

Thanks! May we all find saphirets in this lifetime.

I don't know what it is about saphirets, but almost like finding the holy grail or something. I guess because of the color change they sort of feel special and magical. Also the kind of thing that could be (....hopefully) overlooked by a seller since "google lens" or whatever wouldn't give any clues.

I have a bit of an obsession with them.

    Lucille,
I dont know what it is with Saphirets!
Maybe its even more special because not many people know they exist.
I LOVE a good treasure hunt!
    Yay for Flemish/Dutch class!
Binnenkort spreekt half de Antiquers bevolking vloeiend Nederlands.:joyful:

= Soon half the Antiquers population will speak fluent Dutch.

Ik probeer het al jaren, maar het zijn een stelletje stijfkoppen.:hilarious:
(I've been trying for years, but they're a stubborn lot.:bag:)
