Featured Tiny perfume bottle

    No marks other than the word STERLING. Measures about 1 7/8” or 45 cm high including the stopper/cap. It cleaned up nicely except for the area right around the neck. I’ve seen a few similar described as Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican. Would love to hear thoughts on origin and age. Thanks!

    B28FAFFF-921C-48D9-A046-1004B51CCB13.jpeg This slightly similar one from an ended auction was marked just “sterling“ and .950. The likely candidate I can think of .950 coming from off the top of my head would be Japan, which you mentioned. Doesn’t strike me as overtly Japanese but that seems likely. Although Mexico did mark things with just “sterling” sometimes and did use .950 sometimes. France used .950 but it would have been hallmarked and would not use the word “sterling“.
