Tintype Mystery Item? Opinions

    Hello,

    Purchased this Tintype Yesterday,

    Thought the item under the girls arm was a accordion, but now I'm not so sure.

    Any opinions on what it is? IMG_4158.JPG

    Does look like some type of accordion but danged if I can find one.

    It's the reed knobs/stops that seems to make it different from all other types.
    Is she Russian?

    Seems likely.
    Beautiful dress. Would she be 'well off' to be wearing that?

    I know it's old but I'm always amazed at the condition of these since they weren't cheap and were a big deal.
