Yep, I know. Someone is going to "upcycle" a Picasso one of these days.

But still, I love what's happening to sofa art. And mass produced prints.
And the lesser works of some weekend painters.

(Admittedly, some of these don't appeal to me... some, I adore.)

Seriously, some of these made me LOL. What an imaginative way to repurpose 'art' that may have wound up as landfill.
100 years from now, art history students will puzzle over these...what the what!

These are great !! Some of them are truly funny .. the guys in the canoe racing like crazy to get away from the spaceships beam .. the hand painting more dabs of horrific color on the vase of flowers .. and then the FINAL FINISHED PICTURE !! The overall dreadful colors .. BUT .. I enjoyed them and that is the main thing after all. Thank You Jivvy for presenting them .. Joy.

The canoe/spaceship race is the only 1 I would have around the house. And even then, in an obscure place. ;) I just don't "get" the color block overpaint or the 2-tone frames. Showing my age, I guess.

I like em. I have never seen anything like this before. And for sure, I am not artsy so I can appreciate people who can make things I would never have thought of.
i also like the canoe one.

So with you on that one. However, it appears to be oh-so-very at the moment.

Would totally have the murder one in my workroom/office.

But I have some odd stuff in here. :woot:

The flowers in the vase is my favorite. They have taken a finely detailed print and incongruously turned it into a Paint by Numbers masterpiece.

    Hi,
Those half painted ones reminded me of what I did when i was in college and broke. I bought 10 or 12 old empty frames. I hung them on my walls. In each one I had typed a note card with the following inscriptions. On two year loan to The Metropolitan Museum NYC. On another on Loan to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Another was on loan to the Tate Gallery London. The others were marked to different other museums. My favorite was a 3 ft by 7 ft frame which hung Picasso Stolen on Jan 22 1955, please call the FBI with information.
I love the one with the canoe and space ships.

    Thanks for posting them Jivvy.:)
I would if I had the space, along with the 'laugh' one. And I love the canoe and spaceship.

Banksy is great, and very important to the contemporary art world imo.

He would have. Up til recently no one knew who he was. And now that his identity has been discovered, I keep forgetting.:banghead: A musician, but who.:banghead: Persisting brain fog....

I like him being unknown and in my leaky head, he will always remain unknown. :hilarious:
