Thrift find - Bronze(?) Koi garden statue (not metal because magnet won't stick 2 it)

    I found this today at my local thrift store. I knew it was something when I lifted it & felt the weight. And when I thumped(?) it I thought it was metal because of the sound, but a magnet won't stick to it?
    Could it be bronze?
    It measures 21? long x 15 high x 12 wide
    I don't think it's pot metal - feels too substantial - but who knows?
    The inside of the mouth looks different, so I also put photo of it
    Any help would be appreciated
    PS - They put the $49 price on the bottom with a sharpie - I've tried Mr Clean Magic Eraser and Acetone(fingernail polish remover) & it hasn't budged- any ideas?

    You mean couldn't be iron/ferrous. Copper is a metal... I'm not seeing copper/brass/bonze. I'd say pot metal unless it's really heavy.
