    Happy Sunday everyone,

All i can tell you about this little spoon is that i found it metal detecting the other day. It is 3" long and appears to be hand made. Tested as silver plated. With what looks like a rough/ uncut sapphire in the center.looks pretty old but you never know.
Thanks in advance for any and all input.
    Mikey

The top of the handle almost resembles to me a Flamenco dancer with a fan behind/over her head.

Gee, just realized the shape of the bowl is similar to cocaine or peyote spoons! At first thought a salt spoon, but the bowl of a salt though small is still of a conventional spoon shape. Here are some cocaine spoons with gem stones.

With the gemstone on the handle, here is the index to gemstone spoons on the SpoonPlanet website.

Looks to me, as already suggested, like an Indian coke spoon pendant, circa 1980s...

Oh, I remember those Ivory Snow sets......not that I ever touched or used one..........when my wife DJ'd at those chi-chi WEST Hampton parties they cluttered up every coffee table on toilet tank. I always thought they were a waste of good ivory - a small glass bottle with a built in folding spoon...........never mind..............

    Hi,
I have one of those snow shovels around here somewhere. I thought it was just a miniature but makes common sense that it was for cocaine. A lot of people had grown a pinky fingernail long enough to scoop up some.

It was a popular shape for novelty salt spoons too, both shovel and spade shape bowls, Mom has several in her collection...

My pinkie nails are plenty long, but then so are the rest of them. Never did any coke though. The stone in the spoon, btw, is probably sodalite.
