Thoughts on age and origin of this brooch?

    Hi everyone,

    I picked up this brooch recently and I haven't had one quite like it before and wondered thoughts on age and origin of it? What kind of style would you call it?

    It also feels a more unusual metal, not too sure what you would call it but kind of textured.

    TYIA for any info you can provide on it.

    Early twentieth, brushed gilded brass.
