Hi all! Funny how some weeks are very dry when it comes to finds, and then you spot loads of things all at once.

I remembered KSW's recent post when I saw this and grabbed it immediately. Rather annoyed I didn't notice the damage, the stall was in the shade and I thought it was a little dirt rather than missing enamel :rage: Nonetheless I do like it.

I'm trying to research similar ones, but can't find one like it. The inside detail looks like stylised Fleur de Lis, but the overall shape looks like a regional symbol. I can't find anything on the Bijoux des Francais website. Champlevé brings up a couple of pieces in the same red color, but nothing on the shape. Any ideas?

Its got a wierd combo of hinge and clasp, and this is the second piece I've gotten where someones taken a hammer to it stays securely fastened...forever.
Would I be correct to put this in the Art Deco period?

I picked up this pearl necklace for a euro, almost every pearl is damaged but it wouldn't be noticable on and its for my personal collection. However its too small for me, so I have to figure out how to extend it. It looks like its been restrung at some point, wondering if I risk undoing the knots to add more length and then reattaching the clasp? The clasp would NOT open, so I had to bring it home, grab some wrenches (and my father :hilarious:) and only then could I try it on.
I love the shape of the pearls, but I can't find any similar, what are these called? I'm not sure if the shape points to a date, everything I've seen are round or 'natural' shaped. Its closed length is 17cm.

At the same stall as the brooch I also picked up this. I have a rule about damaged items but this was just too pretty, if you flip it over its not so noticable since the others aren't uniform anyway. I'm a bit stumped with this one as well, amethyst glass and faux pearl, with a spring ring clasp. I've searched high and low for the name of the type of chain, but haven't found a thing. The round links are soldered to one of the box links, and then are loose on the other end. What is this called???

The second photo is more accurate color wise, and the 3rd photo is a close up of the chain and clasp. It measures 21 cm closed. I'm at a loss as to where to date this. The way the glass is threaded and the white inclusions (right word?) feel more modern, but the overall style and chain seem to point in the other direction. Is it 60s perhaps?

Lastly, (for this post lol) this was a find 'au natural', in a box of modern hair clips at a couple's stall. I didn't take a long look at it but I liked it and for 50 cents I wanted to check out the makers mark. Well its not a makers mark, the top line is obscured but the 2nd and 3rd read Czecho Slov. Score! Its missing one of the diamonds which is a shame. The stone is Jet right? I found similar on etsy that are putting this as 30/40s.

I've taken these through the loupe in case anyone recognizes this stamp. Also, does that say CzechMo, No, or Ho? I thought it was an M at first, while that brings up newspaper clippings from the 20s/30s, there's nothing else. Today I'm leaning towards H, but I'm not sure. Were there different spellings throughout the years in/as Czechoslovkia?

Thanks for looking! I'm quite happy with them and the week's events aren't done yet. I'm trying to be more picky with my picks, though perhaps these examples don't show it haha! Damage day in this household :hilarious:

Art Nouveau, rather than deco. Your nice Czech ring will be glass, give it a vinegar soak.

    Well fake pearls haha

Really? See I thought it might be but that hinge wasn't around until later on was it? That's what threw me off. I just looked again and its on a pad, which indicates perhaps a later repair? There are some scratches around the pad as well so perhaps that's it.

I also thought Jet was glass lol, so thank you! I didn't want to get the ring wet since its got the diamonds, I'm not sure how to tell if they're foil backed. I'll look it up! Thanks very much OBB :D

    Thank you!

On that amethyst or purple glass necklace would be easy enough to replace that center stone with a different stone or drop. Could have a cool look with the right replacement. Doesn't need to match the others.

The brooch is ca 1900, and beautiful.
Art Nouveau period, but not style. The style is historic revival, many of these French champlevé pieces are.

The "pearls" are plastic beads with a pearlized coating. I believe you will find they are each a mini barbell shape; strung in an alternating fashion they interlock to create a four-sided strand. Popular in the 1960s and later in the US.

There's an idea, I could see that working really well, thank you. :D

Thanks very much Iva! Its been a great week haha, just found some more stuff yesterday so its been a score! I expect the next few weeks will be duds to make up for it :hilarious:

My goodness all these revivals get complicated very quickly :hilarious: I'm happy it turned out that way! Its such a beautiful thing, even in its damaged state. It'll be staying in my collection for a good while I think.

Barbell!! Thanks so much, I'd have never gotten that on my own haha. I do love the shape and style, now to figure out how I can elongate it.
