Found these items that will be in an auction soon. I found them interesting, but would like some input and possible ID's If possible. Worthwhile or not? Thank you in advance.

picture number 2 of the clear to red vase really intrigues me. I THINK says Webb but i'm not sure. Coud be Made In _____ England.
Pic Number 1 of the Blue items also interests me. I have no idea about any of them though.
    Thanks again for your help!

Thank you SIS. I agree. Thank you for the Marks link! It looks to be a beautiful vase. I was researching those what Royal Bonn Portrait vases were doing on Ebay just now. It may be something to put a bid on. Merry Christmas!

I think the Blue Millefiore is pretty nice. It appears to be very well done. Have you seen these pieces in person? It appears the interior is a different colour, but that might just be the lighting in this pic. I'd be interested to see a pic of the bottom.

...should have gone for more than that tho...

Unfortunately, not really. Maybe a little, but not much.
That's the reality of today's market.

In the first picture the blue vase on the far right looks to be a Veryls mold called Seasons. It's the autumn/spring motif. Fenton later acquired the mold so I'd need to see the actual vase before attempting to making a determination.

Yes it is a live auction on Jan 1st. I havent actually seen the pieces in person. There is a lot of High End Fenton ( Burmese with Butterfly and a Hummingbird one both from the conniseur collection, artist signed) Plus some other neat stuff. I wish I had a lot of money to play with!

I haven't seen them yet. What would I be looking for to judge it as a good piece or not?

Could very well be Fenton. I know there is a lot of nice Fenton in this auction. Probably a fenton collectors estate mixed in here. ( see previous post.) How would I know the difference? and is there a value differnce?

    bdigger,

To be honest with you, I have no clue on what to look for. I'm just learning about glass. I would be looking at how the bottom is finished, and if that interior is a different colour. I would think having a different colour interior is a sign a little more work went into it. When I first saw it I thought possibly Czech (Kralik) but the fire polished rim is not typical.

I googled images for: Fenton silver deposit on cobalt
I didn't come up with anything near as nice in quality as the pieces you are showing.

The one on the far right with the girl - if her nose is turned up, then I would suspect a newer item.
Which would make me look closer at the other two.

    Love this edit feature.
Just wanted to add that I think they are European in origin. Can't tell you why. Just what I thought, and I'm not always right.

Does anybody know anything about this piece. not my usual type of stuff, but it makes my spidey sense tingle LOL!
Thanks pat. I suspect they might be Verlys as mentioned by somebody in an earlier post. I will google that and see what I come up with.

Mathew Adams designed the Alaska line for Sascha Brastoff. He later put out the designs on his own pieces. Used to be kinda hot. None of the California potteries are performing very well in the current market though.

Actually, looking at sold listings it seems to be selling at not TOOOO bad prices...off but not death. In it's day the one above woulda been 150 easy though (it looks big.) Today I see it bringing half that.

My wife collected Sascha, and by virtue of the Alaska pattern, Mathew Adams. I've had a LOT of it over the years. The interest in the Alaska angle DOES spark people's interest. I have a regular customer who took a trip to Alaska recently, staying with friends living there. Upon her return she asked if I could find her a nice piece of Aslaska for her to send her hosts as a thank you. She was thrilled when I just happened to have an attractive piece on hand.
