I posted before about some carved horn beads. I also have this bangle bracelet which I purchased at a sale thinking it may be bakelite. Measures about 3 3/4 across - 3" opening - and about 3/4" thick, double "tube" shape. Bakelite test was negative. I put it with rest of bangle collection.. forgot about it.. When playing with a black light it glowed green which of course caught my eye. Its almost an apple/olive type green?. A solid green color, which was weird. So again thought well.. maybe it is amber. It did float. But It doesn't look like regular amber. It is somewhat translucent when held to the light and has a sort of mottling or speckling. Thinking from research maybe pressed amber??? Looking for your expertise.. thanks in advance for any help

    Not amber.
Some plastics fluoresce as well, depending on the colourants. And they float, we all know the "plastic soup" in the ocean.;)

Just to be sure, you can rub it with your thumb. If your thumb smells of pine, it is amber.
