The value of this painting

Hello,
I have this painting of John Thorley, and I would Like to know the value of it, is that painter well know ? how valuable is it ?
Watercolor by John Thorley signed and dated 1914, in original frame.
frame size 23" x 18" image size 15" 10 3/4"

 

There’s one on Antiques Atlas dated 1914 for £75, that’s about $98, looks very like yours.

 

Is that Painter well known for his paintings ?

 

U should tell us the medium, etc. Oil, water, canvas, board, show pic of the back, etc. Without that info people here can’t tell u much.

 

There is lots of stuff on the Internet about well known artists; a search produces a ton of results for someone like Michelangelo. When you search the Internet for John Thorley, what do you find? If he is difficult to find, he is not well known.
