Interesting looking piece! Choker length? Also, does the clasp unscrew?

 

Slightly longer than choker and yes, it’s a screw barrel clasp.

 

The green looks like bakelite but the chain looks like something straight out of the late 60s/early 70s. Did the Germans do aluminum chain in the 30s? Bengel wasn't sold here, and I wouldn't know it from Adam, but ..glad you bagged it and tagged it.

Yup, the plaques on mine are very like other Bengel pieces. It’s chrome rather than aluminium.

I’m faintly surprised there isn’t a Facebook group for Bengel.

As an aside, I’m down a Hugo Dahm rabbit hole at the moment.

 

I’ve tried them in the past and didn’t get a response. It was just post lockdown though so I’d be interested to hear if they reply now.
