Not sure about this one as my silver acid is still en route from Bulgaria. I’d passed over it a couple of times before but I looked a bit closer and all the links and the A are soldered, the feather is just base metal and the beads are tat but the chain links are interesting as they are sliding metal links. My daughter is Alice so it’s not going anywhere! Wondered if it could be a repurposed watch chain but I can’t find any chains like this to compare.

No idea about this. Silver, 925 etched on the back, what does the circle represent? Turquoise or something else? One bead is broken so I don’t think dyed.

Interesting brooch, 4cm across. Thought French then maybe revised to German because of the hounds?

Quite unusual sterling and full hallmark SJ 925 Sheffield and the lion which makes me think these need more investigation.

    Givenchy brooch

These are intriguing. Rough glass beads that are UV reactive in places. Remind me of those Amberina jugs?
I’d love to hear ideas about these please.

That circle (stargate!) pendant reminds me of some Ogham inspired ones which Orcadian jewellers like Sheila Fleet make. I think your dogs are French. Those full hallmark earrings are nice, someone took the trouble to pay for a full assay. Givenchy screams 80s and there's amber in them thar beads.

    Off to Google!
Should have stuck with my first thought!

Just out of interest do you know what is the cost difference is between a simple 925 and a full hallmark? Just idle curiosity. I’ll go and google that too! I think they are pretty unusual, I just need to track down who dunnit :pompous:

They are odd, I’ve seen orange cadmium glass beads but not the red and orange. I like them though, they are fun and interesting.

The Italian glass was probably sold loose and strung by a third party. I've redone them too here and there when a string breaks. The gold-plated sterling earrings are probably legit; if they were going to fake them they'd fake a gold hallmark instead.

925 simply means someone bought a punch and used it. I'm not sure what the assay office charges are exactly, but you have to register your sponsor mark and send each piece off to be assayed. I'm trying to remember what a friend paid.

Have a look at Sheila Fleet's Skyran, especially.
