'The Golden Rifle' Silver Flask

I've recently come across this interesting silver / silver plated whisky flask and would be keen to learn more about it, as I was considering purchasing it.

I suspect that it may be WW1, but not sure.
It bears a badge with the word 'rifle' in large letters surmounted by a crown, underneath which is written 'The Golden Rifle'.
It may well be just some prize awarded in a shooting competition, and of no real collectors value, but it would be interesting to know. Apologies for the poor quality pics !
