Featured Texture Of Painting & Frame

I recently came into possession of a framed picture of the Great Wall of China. I am interested to know the style of the picture with the gold edging (I have seen it before), the texture of the wood (believed to be rosewood) and the approximate time period it would have been made. There are no identifying marks on the back.

This person on Etsy is calling it cloisonné sand art, no idea if that’s correct though.

It does appear to be a granular material. I wonder if the application draws on lacquer techniques like maki-e.
