Featured Textile origin?

    Origin? Approximately 70" x 40" Seems to be cotton. Fairly thin and tightly woven. Some age and wear. Should be able to enlarge photos.

    North Africa, Berber. Likely Morocco.

    Thanks. This is being represented as Navajo by a dealer and I was certain it is not. Wanted to be able to tell her what it is before talking with her.

    Definitely not Navajo. If cotton, I am inclined to think it may be a Mexican saddle blanket (usually folded in half when used). Or possibly an Indian (India) dhurrie.

    Indian maybe. Native American Indian? Not so much, although someone who's Native might have had it on his kitchen floor.(LOL)
