Featured Terry Davys acrylic

    I picked this up today. At a first glance I thought it was a print as the quality is pretty decent. Closer inspection though revealed shadows from the texture of the paint. I think it's acrylic but maybe oil. I struggle to differentiate sometimes. Artist is Terry Davys and subject matters is Lanyon Gum. I've not found much online recognition but there are a few of references to him and his work. Frame dimensions are 25cm x 34cm.

    Thanks. I was wondering. Australian Central Territory was my guess.

    You were correct, mine was from memory, I used to live in NSW

    Federal territory of Australia, containing the Australian capital city of Canberra and some surrounding townships. It is in the south-east of the country and is an enclave within the state of New South Wales

    Google says Australian capital Territory so we were both half right.

    Google is right. It is the territory of and around Canberra.

    Interestingly, Namatjira Drive is named after one of Australia's greatest painters, Albert Namatjira.:)
