    I got this ring in a lot of jewelry. Does it not look like the face of one of those frogs made of seashells? Too bad it only fits on my pinky.

    Beautiful ring, Satin. Pity it doesn't fit.
    The style is Mexican Modernist, and it is an oldie.
    The shape doesn't represent anything specific, so you are free to read into it whatever you like.:playful:
    I just checked my Hougart book, it is the mark of Rafael Dominguez 1911-1980. "Talented pupil of William Spratling", the big name in Taxco silver.
    Rafael Dominguez and his wife owned a studio called "Casa Dominguez". I don't know the exact dates for the shop, but the book has a photo of a calling card dating from 1946.
