Tasseography-related Cup With 23 Interior Symbols Plus Lotsa Witches

This, and its now-lost saucer, were a gift to the recently departed on her 75th birthday, from me; October 4, 1976. I found the cup among her kitchen things but apparently the saucer got lost or broken. It probably had the same or similar symbols around the edge.

She had a long history of fascination with reading and interpreting tea leaves, and this set thrilled her...she mentioned it frequently for many years thereafter.

There are 16 serigraphed witches around the cup, and one over the original mark on the bottom, which says (I think) Vienna Austria. There are 18 symbols around the inner surface plus 5 on the floor, each having some specific occult meaning to those practitioners of this rare form of divination...it's all beyond my ken.

The cup is 3 3/8" diameter, 2 1/4" high; it is translucent.
