Hi all - Here is another item that Dad thought was something special. We do not know if he ever did any research on it. I'm sure it's not easy to tell anything from a picture of a picture shown over the internet but figure I would post anyway to see if I can find out anything about it.

    40" tall x 17" wide

Meant to add that there is no signature that we can find.

It may be behind the bottom edge of the frame, carefully remove it and check. I really like this a lot .It looks like thats the original victorian frame too,id guess its 1870s-80s in age.

As my mother is in possession of the painting, I asked her to remove it from the frame. She sent me these pictures. It's very delicate. Still, there doesn't seem to be a signature.

Hmmm,it could very well be a decorative painting only. Im sure they had "factory" paintings in victorian times. Still old,and highly decorative,in my humble opinion. But then again I love swamp scenes, being a florida boy.

I also like this. The lack of signature will limit value to the low hundreds but it is a nice decorative painting with good age.

These were called "yard long" paintings. I have a couple with flowers. This has much more sales appeal.

Thanks for all the information. I will take a good look this week/weekend when I look at it again with my own eyes.
