I’ve spent nearly the entire day trying to get a sense of this table’s age and estimated value. It was left in our previous home and we’ve kept it until now. No markings.

Here’s the description I’m working with:

“A beautiful 34”x56” antique solid oak swivel top on four boldly turned legs. The top pivots through ninety degrees and opens up to 68"x56" with a big overhang all round so there's no problem with knee clearance. (31”h/29”h when opened up.) Single end drawer, original hinges and breadboard ends to the top add to the charm. The well in the table base provides useful storage for place mats and other table accessories.”

Wonderful piece. Id guess 1900 or so. I dont know why,but I always thought of these as games tables, erroneously so Im sure.

I’m glad I’m not the only one confused. Too large to really be game table and not square in either configuration. But I can’t find anything resembling this table anywhere.

It looks very much like a Victorian tilt and turn Tea Table.

I've had 4 in the last 24 months.

They date from around 1840 to 1860.

They come in oak, mahogany and beech.

Sadly they don't sell for much, all four I had sold for around £50 ($68)
