Hallo everyone, could anyone tell me more about this vase? I believe it is antique but it would be great to have this confirmed and to further get your opinions. Thanks!

Interesting read on Swatow ware. They refer to it differently now as Zhangzhou ware, as the evidence from archaeology suggests original Swatow ware production between most likely about 1575–1650(?) The style seems correct based on the descriptions provided.

Here is an example (not too far of a stretch to yours)

Personally, I am looking for the birds represented on your piece. The designs I have come across do not match, thus far, and I think it could help determine it's authenticity to the style and the age?

Hallo Flipper, I have been doing a lot of googling over the last few months and asked a few antique dealers and auction houses, but all have been very noncommital with their opinions. I too have found a few examples that come close, but I don't have the expertise to be certain, so thanks for your help!
