    This is ~4 3/4" by ~3 5/8", ~1 5/8" high; the interior space is ~4 1/8" by ~3 1/8" by ~7/8" deep. Weight is ~9 5/8 oz.
I have seen other wire work like this, but not nearly as finely or smoothly done. I haven't attempted polishing (to high-light) the image out of concern for possible damage to the wood. I used gold & silver in my description because of the tarnish on the lighter lines, an' the lack of same on the bright lines...I don't think they're steel & brass. There are obvious areas of wear, especially on the bottom; the black lacquer interior shows many small dings, scratches an' other indicators of gentle use over time.
I have a sense of Pacific Islander...Hawaiian...Polynesian influence, but can't really justify that.
Where, an' when, was it made? Who is the Goddess? Of what significance is the image, given the materials? Is there a name for the inlay process? Thanks for lookin'!
